Vigeland Sculpture Garden
|
Many years ago the great Norwegian sculptor, Gustav Vigeland made a deal with the City of Oslo. In return for a studio, an annual stipend and a location where he could design a sculpture park, he would give all of his work to the city. The result of the agreement is one of the most remarkable presentations of the work of one sculptor anywhere in the world. These monumental works in Frogner Park in central Oslo are ideal subjects for photographs. I visited the park on perhaps a dozen occasions over the years and these are some of the photographs that resulted.
