Broadway and 12trh Street wasn’t as booming in 1982 as it is in 2006, but it has always had a unique character and energy level. The Strand bookstore next door insures that and now with multiples cinemas, entertainment megastores and a revitalized 14th Street, the neighborhood is changing. They are tearing down churches, there are murders at hip restaurants, and movies are being shot on Broadway. There are fewer of the wallboards, less and less graffiti and no one has dumped a compacted automobile on the corner in years.
