   Berenice Abbott told me it is foolish
to just take pictures willy nilly, that pictures must be part of a
sensible project. My photographs of musicians have clearly made up my
longest on going, seemingly never-ending project. I'm sometimes
overwhelmed with the sheer number of jazz/blues photographs that I've
taken over the years, some of which I barely remember; a contact sheet
will jump out of an envelope, something I haven’t seen or thought about
for twenty years, and I discover a good one I never printed. Some of
these recent discoveries are on this web site. Others will be added
when I find them.
